Men's Tennis falls to Hopkins, 9-0

BALTIMORE, Md. – Nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins picked up all three doubles matches and all six singles matches on Saturday afternoon as the eighth-ranked Blue Jays (10-2, 4-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (8-4, 1-4 Centennial) 9-0.

The Bears picked up ten team points on the afternoon.

At number one doubles, junior Evan Lord (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) and junior Logan Metcalf-Kelly (Rockwall, Texas/Rockwall) dropped an 8-2 decision to Tanner Brown and Erik Lim. At number two doubles, freshman Tyler Arsenault (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) and junior Dylan Marsh (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) lost 8-1 to Noah Joachim and Nicholas Garcia.

In singles play, Arsensault lost at number one flight, 6-2, 6-1, while Metcalf-Kelly lost to Sam Weissler at number three flight, 6-2, 6-1. At number six flight, sophomore Mike Melchiorre (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) lost to Joonas Karjalainen, 6-0, 6-1.
