Men's Tennis takes down Arcadia, 7-2

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Ursinus College Men's Tennis team defeated Arcadia today, 7-2. Left with only 5 players due to injuries and class conflicts, the Bears swept the 7 contested matches.

The Bears led 2-1 after doubles play. After defaulting the 3rd doubles spot, they swept first and second doubles in impressive fashion. Evan Lord and Sean Kelley won the first flight 8-2, and David Rowe and Mike Melchiorre won the second flight by the same score.

In singles play it was more of the same as the Bears ran the table in the first 5 flights. After defaulting the sixth singles slot, Ursinus won handily in every remaining match. Evan Lord, Mike Melchiorre, David Rowe, Bennett Krantz and Sean Kelley were all straight set winners to give the Bears the 7-2 win.
