Men's Tennis blanks Neumann, 9-0

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's tennis team snapped a four match losing streak in convincing fashion on Monday, blanking Neumann (0-3) 9-0.

The Bears started the day by sweeping all three doubles matches, starting with freshman Evan Stutchin (Cape Coral, Fla./Canterbury School) and freshman Evan Lord (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) winning at number one flight 8-4 over Chris Brown and Bryan Bodine. At number two flight, freshman Matt Hope (Wyomissing, Pa./Wilson) and freshman Brent Stevenson (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) defeated Zane Buckley and Andrew Raimundo, 8-0.

At number three flight, sophomore Sean Kelley (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) and freshman Dylan Marsh (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) defeated Joshua McMillion and Ryan Bushbeck, 8-0.

In singles play, Stuchin defeated Brown at number one flight, 6-2, 6-4, with Hope taking out Bodine at number two flight, 6-0, 6-2.

At number three flight, Stevenson defeated Buckley, 6-0, 6-1, followed by Marsh defeating Raimundo, 6-0, 6-0 at number four flight.

At number five flight, freshman David Rowe (South Hamilton, Mass./Hamilton-Wenham) defeated McMillion, 6-1, 6-0, with sophomore Nick Rall (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) defeating Bushbeck at number six flight, 6-0, 6-0.

Ursinus is at Washington on Wednesday.
