Placed third in 200 medley relay at Mid-Penn championship meet as a senior and eighth as a junior, when he was also on the sixth-place 200 free relay ... Set school record in 200 medley relay as a sophomore ... Served as student council president as a senior and was class vice president his first three years ... Why Ursinus? One thing I noticed when visiting Ursinus was how close everyone was; it was a very tight-knit family that I did not see anywhere else. Being a small school, you could see how strong the community was. I think this stuck with me with the whole idea of the “common intellectual experience,” and the idea that you learn as much from the people around you as you do in lecture. This really got me interested in the liberal arts education Ursinus had to offer; it was one of a kind that I wanted to be a part of.
