LANCASTER, Pa. – Ursinus College's Daniel Mueser was named Centennial Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Mueser was on a mission during Saturday's 117-84 victory over Dickinson in the Centennial Conference opener for both squads. The sophomore secured an individual victory in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.63, good for second in the conference and 35th nationally. He also joined Michael Prior, Maxwell Valeriano, and Ryan Carkhuff to take first place in the 400 medley relay, helping the quartet to post the sixth-best time in all of Division III (3:35.03).
Mueser was a member of the 400 freestyle relay, which also included Jacob Menzer, Ryan Schreffler, and Carkuff and logged a clocking of 3:12.93. That mark was the fastest of the event by nearly six seconds, though the victory did not count because the meet had previously gone to exhibition scoring.
