Men's Swimming wins home opener over Albright

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's swimming team started its home slate with a 111-92 win over regional rival Albright on Wednesday night at Elliott Pool.

The Bears started the night by taking 2-3 in the opening 200 yard medley relay as the team of William Benn, Keith Larkin, Chris Hoops and

Nick Dipalo were second at 1:42, then the team of James Marrone, Spencer Collopy, Colin McNamara and Carl Christoph were third at 1:43.90.

In the 1000 free, Marcus Wagner was first with a time of 10:09.81 with freshman Chris Barthold in third at 10:39.

Joe Gershun was first in the 200 free at 1:49.18 with Dylan Cooper third at 1:54.14.

Dipalo was second in the 50 free at 23.25, while Joao Angelotto was third at 23.58.

Jacob Robinson was second in the 200 IM at 2:06.58, with Keith Larkin third at 2:06.87.

Hoops took first in the 100 fly at 53.94, while Alec Heckman was third at 54.94.

In the 100 free, Ben Jumper was second at 50.63 followed by Cooper in third at 51.09.

The 100 back saw Benn win the event at 55.56 with Marrone in third at 56.83.

Wagner won his second event of the night in the 500 free, with a time of 4:57.43 with Gershun in third at 5:02.39 and Barthold third at 5:05.50.

In the 100 breast, Larkin was second at 1:06.32 with Robinson third at 1:06.61.
