Men's Swimming third at Centennial Conference Championships

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's swimming team finished their three-day run at the 2014 Centennial Conference championships by finishing third with a total of 532 points. The Bears finished  behind Dickinson.

In the opening 1650 free, freshman Marcus Wagner finished second in the event with a NCAA B cut with a time of 16:16.17. Junior Joe Gershun was in fifth at 16:36.77, with sophomore Henry Nonack in tenth at 17:07.04.Freshman Dylan Cooper was 13th at 17:12.83.

In the 200 back, freshman William Benn was third at 1:51.37, a NCAA B cut. Freshman Chase Renninger was ninth at 1:54.08, followed by sophomore James Marrone in 12th at 1:58.32 and junior Jacob Robinson was 14th at 1:58.63. Nonack took 16th at 2:01.03.

In the 100 free, senior John Wieczorek was seventh at 47.39 with freshman Spencer Collopy in 13th at 48.85.

The 200 breast saw senior Charles Messa finish fifth at 2:11.06 and senior Mark Hickey in 11th at 2:14.53. Sophomore Keith Larkin was 16th at 2:17.92.

In the 200 fly, sophomore Chris Hoops was fifth at 1:56.32 with senior Alexander Pandelidis was tenth at 2:00.02. Sophomore Alec Heckman was 12th at 2:03.25.
