SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's swimming team captured the two-day, three session Swarthmore Invitational on Saturday with a total team score of 1127.5 points, far ahead of second-place Swarthmore at 864.5 points.

The team of Chase Renninger, Charles Messa, Chris Hoops and John Wieczorek won the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:40.69.

In the 400 IM, Jacob Robinson won the event at 4:20.48, with Keith Larkin in fourth at 4:36.45.

Chris Hoops took third in the 100 fly at 54.77, followed by Alec Heckman in fourth at 55.45.

Josef Gershun was first in the 200 free at 1:46.98, with Alexander Pandelidis in second at 1:48.11, Marcus Wagner in third at 1:48.85 and Dylan Cooper in fourth at 1:49.17.

Messa was second in the 100 breaststroke at 1:02.28, with Larkin in fifth at 1:05.07.

William Benn won the 100 back at 52.45, with Renninger in second at 54.06. James Marrone was in third at 55.82, followed by Henry Nonack in fourth at 56.94 and Benjamin Jumper in fifth at 57.48.

Robinson, Pandelidis, Gershun and Wagner won the 800 free relay at 7:15.14.

Starting the evening session, Benn won the 200 back at 1:54.15, setting a new pool record. Renninger was second at 1:58.70, with Marrone in third at 2:01.73. Robinson was fifth at 2:05.05.

Wieczorek was second in the 100 free at 49.49, followed by Cooper in fifth at 50.43.

Messa won the 200 breaststroke at 2:19.04, with Larkin in third at 2:21.80 and Mark Hickey in fourth at 2:22.31.

Hoops captured the 200 fly at 1:58.92, with Heckman in second at 2:02.57 and Pandelidis in fifth at 2:06.91.

Robinson, Jumper, Pandelidis and Wieczorek was first in the 400 free relay at 3:16.27.

In the final event, the 1650 free, Wagner won the event at 16:51.69 with Gershun in second at 17:11.54 and Nonack in third at 17:17.27.
