Men's Swimming beats York (Pa.), 153-102, in Winter Break Finale

YORK, Pa. – The Ursinus College capped their Winter Break with a 153-102 win over York (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's swimming action.

Ursinus opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay as the team of sophomore Jacob Robinson, senior Philip Quick, junior Alexander Pandelidis and senior David Yazbeck won the event with a time of 1:41.28, while the team of senior Scott Paine, junior Charles Messa, junior John Wieczorek and sophomore Joe Gershn were third at 1:43.65. 

In the 1000 free, freshman Chris Hoops won first at 10:59.74, with freshman Henry Nonack in second at 10:59.81.

Paine won the 200 free at 1:49.85, with Quick taking third at 1:54.20. 

In the 100 back, Ben Jumper was second at 58.28, followed by James Marrone in third at 1:00.10.

In the 100 breast, Yazbeck was second at 1:04.61.

The Bears went 1-2-3 in the 200 fly as Pendelidis was first at 2:09.64, followed by Robinson was second at 2:09.95 and Alec Heckman was third at 2:15.91.

In the 50 free, Wieczorek was second at 22.76, followed by Jumper in third at 23.48.

In the 100 free, Gershun was second at 50.20.

Paine won his second event of the day with a 2:02.89 in the 200 back.

In the 200 breast, Yazbeck was second at 2:24.75, followed by Messa in third at 2:25.34.

Ursinus again went 1-2-3 in the 500 free as Pandelidis won the event at 5:04.93, followed by senior David Wagner in second at 5:19.64 and Nonack in third at 5:19.87.

Wieczorek was first in the 100 fly at 56.86, followed by Robinson in second at 56.87.

Gershun won the 200 IM at 2:08.24, followed by Quick in second at 2:08.57.
