Men's Swimming suffers loss at Dickinson, 158-103

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's swimming team found themselves on the losing end of a 158-103 decision to Dickinson on Saturday, falling to 3-4 on the season and 1-3 in Centennial action.

The Bears got first-place finishes from senior Lloyd Tannenbaum (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) who took the top spot in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:32.73, nearly 20 seconds faster than the second place finisher. He also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:08.74.

Sophomore Chris Smith (Wayne, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:01.73 and the 200 yard free at 1:52.14, with sophomore Scott Paine (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) winning the 200 backstroke at 2:04.26.

Paine was second in the 100 back at 58.44, followed by a second place in the 50 free at 22.30. Sophomore Philip Quick (Bridgeton, N.J./Cumberland Regional) was second in the 200 breaststroke at 2:23.86, with Smith going second in the 100 fly at 55.47.

The team of Paine, freshman John Wieczorek (Milltown, N.J./St. Joseph High School), freshman Alexander Pandelidis (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) and Tannenbaum was second in the 400 free relay at 3:23.53.

Ursinus hosts Lebanon Valley on Saturday.
