Men's Swimming falls to Gettysburg, 133-74

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's swimming team was defeated by Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon by a 133-74 score.

Senior Lloyd Tannenbaum (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) captured the 1000 yard freestyle with a mark of 10:29.46, followed by freshman Alexander Pandelidis (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) in second place at 10:39.39.

Freshman John Wieczorek (Milltown, N.J./St. Joseph High School) was tops in the 50 free, defeating Tommy Everett of Gettysburg with a time of 22.41.

Sophomore Scott Paine (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) won the 100 back at a time of 55.50.

Sophomore Philip Quick (Bridgeton, N.J./Cumberland Regional) finished second in the 200 IM at a time of 2:06.62 and in the 100 breast at 1:03.52, with Tannenbaum picking up a second place finish in the 500 free at 5:02.93.

In the relays, the team of Paine, Quick, Wieczorek and sophomore Chris Smith took second in the 200 medley relay at 1:42.32, while the team of Tannenbaum, Wieczorek, Pandelidis and sophomore David Yazbeck (Dorchester Center, Mass./Boston Latin School) took second in the 200 free relay ay 1:31.42.
