Men's Swimming tripped up by Albright, 114-90

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's swimming team suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday, falling to Albright by a 114-90 count.

For the Bears, senior Lloyd Tannenbaum (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) was a double winner as he won the 200 free with a time of 1:50.35 and the 500 free at 5:03.22. In the 200 free, he won by edging Adam Kurtz of Albright by .03.

Freshman John Wieczorek (Milltown, N.J./St. Joseph HS) won the 50 free at 22.41, while junior Chris Smith (Wayne, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) won the 200 fly at 2:02.46.

Sophomore Scott Paine (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) took second in the 1000 free at 10:24.31, with freshman Alexander Pandelidis (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) taking third at 10:47.01. Smith added in a third place finish in the 200 free at 1:52.05.

In the 50 free, sophomore David Yazbeck (Dorchester Center, Mass./Boston Latin School) was third with a time of 23.19. Sophomore Philip Quick (Bridgeton, N.J./Cumberland Regional) was second in the 200 IM at 2:06.65 and second in the 200 breast at 2:23.26. Yazbeck added in a second place finish in the 100 free with a mark of 50.82.

In the 200 back, Paine was second with a time of 2:01.97, with Pandelidis third in the 500 free at 5:13.56.
