Abdalla Added to Men's Soccer Coaching Staff

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Ursinus Men's Soccer Head Coach Daniel Clitnovici announced Thursday the addition of Liam Abdalla to the men's soccer coaching staff.

 

 

 

Abdalla will work with the Bears goalkeepers for the 2022 season. He recently earned his bachelor's degree in Sports Management this past May from Alvernia University. Abdalla spent two seasons with the team as a goalkeeper. Abdalla began his collegiate career in 2017 with Lebanon Valley and was a member of the ECAC Championship team.

 

 

 

"Liam will fit into what we are trying to do here at Ursinus Men's Soccer really well," Clitnovici said. "He's hardworking, knowledgeable and has a strong passion for professional coaching. He has collegiate playing and coaching experience and will work with our GK's daily but also be involved in the day to day running of the entire program. Liam is locally respected by his peers, and he makes Ursinus Men's Soccer stronger. I'm excited to add him to our program".

 

 

 

Abdalla has served as the Pottsgrove Middle School Soccer Coach during the 2019 and 2020 seasons while being heavily involved in the West-Mont United Soccer Association that is based out of Royersford. Abdalla currently serves as the head coach for the West-Mont United Head coach 08 girls and 06 boys team. He was a goalkeeper coach for the 2021-22 season and worked under previous MLS goalkeeper coach, Todd Hoffard. Abdalla also is an assistant coach for the 06 and 07 boys' premier teams at West-Mont United. Abdalla also owns USSF grassroots coaching qualifications.
