Clark Returns as Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Ursinus Men's Soccer Head Coach Daniel Clitnovici announced Wednesday the addition of Kyle Clark to the men's soccer coaching staff.

Clark returns for his second stint as an assistant coach at Ursinus after spending one season alongside former Bears Coach Keith Cappo in 2019. Clark worked with Clitnovici at Villanova for two years, serving one season as the Director of Women's Soccer Operations and as a Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2021.

"Kyle will be a strong asset to our program as he demonstrates leadership required to be successful. I've had the privilege of working alongside Kyle in the past and his level of professionalism is of the highest standards. Kyle has coached at Ursinus before so to have him return and get back to work is exciting not only for him but for all of us around the Men's program".

Clark spent a season as an assistant at Penn State-Abington, which won the NEAC championship and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2018. He was responsible for film breakdown and review as well as assisting with daily preparations for training and matches. Abington produced seven all-conference players in the 2018 campaign, including the NEAC player of the year.

Clark also served as coach of the U12 Boys D and U10 Girls B teams of Lower Merion Soccer Club, developing, and conducting training sessions and handling all operations.

Before his time at Penn State-Abington, Clark spent a year as an assistant for Homer Soccer Club in New York and completed a pair of stints as an assistant for his alma mater, Tompkins Cortland Community College. In 2013, the squad posted an undefeated regular season, won the MSAC title, and produced a pair of NSCAA All-Americans. Clark was a starter and NJCAA Region III All-Tournament Team selection for the 2012 group that also won the MSAC.

Clark, who owns a USSF Grassroots coaching license, earned an associate's degree in liberal arts from Tompkins Cortland in 2012 and is expected to earn a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Phoenix in November 2019.
