Conway Hired as Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Ursinus Men's Soccer Head Coach Daniel Clitnovici announced Thursday the hiring of Keith Conway to become the new assistant men's soccer coach.

 

 

His promotion comes after serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the Bears in the Spring of 2022.

 

 

 

 "I am excited to welcome Keith Conway to the staff of the Ursinus Men's Soccer Team," Clitnovici said. "Keith will bring a professional stance both on and off the field and the team will really benefit from this. Keith has a string coaching and playing background and will be a strong part of our program. I am excited for the team to experience working with him."

 

 

 

Conway has been coaching professionally in the United States since his move from Ireland in 2019. He has held several positions within the King of Prussia Soccer Club since 2019 such as a field coach, Director of Player Development. Conway has most recently been serving as the Technical Director at KOPSC.

 

 

Conway worked as a High School Physical Education and English teacher for six years while in Ireland and has a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and master's degree in Education. He spent 10 years soccer coaching experience in Ireland and holds several licenses from UEFA and the Football Association of Ireland as well as a USSF D license.

 

 

 

He also has experience coaching on the youth level after spending time with the Philadelphia Union Youth program and serving as the head Junior Varsity Coach of Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown. Conway also owns a soccer coaching business called Innovate Sports LLC.
