LANCASTER, Pa. - After posting back-to-back shutouts, Ursinus College men's soccer goalie Tyler Lewin was named Centennial Conference defensive player of the week, the league announced Tuesday.

Lewin was terrific in a pair of big wins for the Bears, who routed Bryn Athyn by a 4-0 count before blanking Dickinson, 3-0, on Saturday night for their first conference victory since 2014. 

The junior netminder needed to make only one save in the Bryn Athyn contest but was sensational against the Red Devils. Lewin finished with five stops, including a terrific diving stop to bat away a dangerous free kick as well as a penalty kick save late in the second half to preserve his fifth career shutout.
