SWARTHMORE, Pa - A first half goal from Dean DerSimonian gave the Ursinus men's soccer team their first Centennial Win of the season defeating Swarthmore 1-0, Friday night.
In the Bears four wins, Ursinus outscored their opponents 11-1.
The Bears improve to 4-6-1 and 1-3 in the Centennial Conference.
Swarthmore finished with 12 shots on goal but couldn't find the back of the net as freshman keeper Brian Gately recorded five saves and his third clean sheet of the season.
The only goal of the contest came in the 19th minute on a corner kick from Ryan Molyneaux right to DerSimonian for the winning goal.
Ursinus returns to action at home October 11th against Johns Hopkins.
