COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus College men's soccer senior defender Mike Jensen (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) scored his first goal of the season at the right time as his tally with 1:31 left gave the Bears (5-8) a 3-2 win over Goucher (3-7-1) Tuesday night at Patterson Field.

Jensen scored the goal out of a scrum in front of the goal as Ursinus snapped a five-match losing streak.

Freshman midfielder Dean DerSimonian (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) had a goal and an assist in the win, as he scored on a penalty kick 49 seconds into the game to give Ursinus an early lead.

Freshman forward Ryan Butler scored his 12th goal of the season at 75:27 off of a pass from DerSimonian to give Ursinus a 2-1 lead at the time.

Goucher got goals from sophomore defender Hudson Bielecki and sophomore midfielder Nate Margolis in the loss.

The Gophers tied the score in the 11th minute as Bielecki scored off of a corner kick from freshman forward Parker Bay.

After Butler's goal, Margolis lifted one past Ursinus freshman goalkeeper Kieran Keyser (Petersburg, N.J./Ocean City) at 79:35.

Both teams tallied over 20 shots each, with Ursinus winning the advantage 23-20.

Keyser finished with seven saves, while freshman goalkeeper Scott Witte had eight saves for the Gophers.
