Scranton doubles up Men's Soccer, 4-2

SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton scored two goals in each half as the Royals (4-0) handed Ursinus (2-3) a 4-2 loss in men's soccer non-conference play Wednesday night.

Scranton got two goals from Bill McGuiness, both of them coming in the second half.

Ursinus freshman forward Ryan Butler (Palmyra, N.J./Palmyra), who was named the Centennial Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, expanded on his goal scoring week as he added two goals in the game. He scored just before the end of the first half at 44:45 on a cross from senior defender Colin Kunkle (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson).

Butler scored his second goal in the 80th minute on a strip of a defender and then beat Royal goalkeeper James Dillon on a tap-in.

Freshman goalkeeper Kieran Keyser (Petersburg, N.J./Ocean City) made 11 saves as he faced 28 Royal shots on the night.

Ursinus opens conference play on Saturday with a trip to Gettysburg.
