COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Two penalty kicks by Muhlenberg, both in the second half, helped push the Mules (10-5-1, 6-3 Centennial) to a 3-1 win over Ursinus (3-12-3, 2-6-1 Centennial) Monday night in a game that was moved to Patterson Field due to heavy snow over the weekend that blanketed Muhlenberg's field.

The Mules with the win clinched a spot in the Centennial Conference playoffs.

Junior midfielder Nate Squire and senior midfielder Steve Giannacio both scored on PKs, with Squire scoring in the 62nd minute and Giannacio scoring ten minutes after. The Mules scored first as senior midfielder Josh Luginbuhl scored on a cross from senior midfielder Tim Leischener at the 32nd minute.

Ursinus got on the board as junior defender Mike Jansen (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) scored on a header via a corner kick from senior midfielder Andrew Machalick (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) with just 5:56 left in the match.

In his final game between the pipes, senior goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) made six saves.
