TOWSON, Md. – Two goals in the last 30 minutes of the contest helped Ursinus net a 2-2 tie with Goucher on Tuesday evening in non-conference men's soccer play.
The first goal, cutting the Goucher deficit to 2-1, game from junior defender Mike Jansen (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) off of an assist from sophomore forward Ricky Griffith (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) at 66:47.
Just under ten minutes later, senior forward Chris Polster (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) scored on an assist from senior midfielder Andrew Machalick (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood).
Senior goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) had five saves as he faced 17 shots.
Ursinus hosts nationally ranked Swarthmore on Saturday.
