GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Gettysburg scored two times in the first half
as the Bullets (3-1-2, 1-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (1-3-1, 0-1
Centennial) 3-1 on Saturday night in the Centennial Conference
men's soccer opener for both teams.
Gettysburg scored in the 21st and 34th minute
as the Bullets outshot Ursinus 17-6.
The Bears lone goal came at 55:34 when freshman midfielder
James Peeler (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) scored
on a pass from freshman midfielder Christian Cruz
(Southampton, Pa./La Salle College High School).
Ursinus got three saves from sophomore goalkeeper Mike
Alfieri (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape).
The Bears go to Alvernia on Wednesday night.
