BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Ursinus men's soccer team opened up its
2009 season by playing to a 0-0 double overtime with Moravian
Tuesday afternoon.
The Greyhounds (0-0-1) held a 12-11 advantage in shots, but,
Ursinus (0-0-1) sophomore goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount
Laurel, N.J./Lenape) made seven saves to keep the game
scoreless. The Bears managed just three shots on goal, while
Moravian had seven.
The Bears are back in action on Saturday, playing host to
Misericordia at 3:30 p.m. on Wilkes Field in the back end of a
doubleheader with the women's team.
