BALTIMORE, Md. – After holding 22nd-ranked Johns Hopkins
scoreless in the first half, the Blue Jays (12-2, 5-1 Centennial)
scored twice in the final 23 minutes in a 2-0 blanking of Ursinus
(3-9-1, 0-6 Centennial) Friday night on a chilly, rain-soaked
Homewood Field.
The Blue Jays got on the board at 67:33 as Evan Kleinberg scored on
scramble in the box. The second goal came from Scott Bukoski at
79:59 on an assist from Nick White, following a long pass
downfield.
The Blue Jays held a 21-10 advantage on shots, but, sophomore
goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel,
N.J./Lenape) had seven saves in the loss.
