LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ursinus men's lacrosse junior Tyler Neal was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Dynamic Team of the week on Tuesday evening.
Ten players from Division I, Division II, and Division III earn national recognition from the organization each week during the lacrosse season.
Neal torched Southern Virginia on Saturday for nine points behind six goals and three assists in the Bears 20-9 home opening win. He scored the first four of five goals in the contest for Ursinus and came one point short of his single-game career-high point total of 10 from last season. However, the six goals were a career-high for Neal and the most in a game for an Ursinus player since Ben Minardi scored six against Montclair State
He currently leads the team with 12 points behind six goals and six assists following his big day last Saturday.
This is the first time that Neal has earned a spot on the weekly team and is the first Ursinus Men's Lacrosse player to be named to the team since teammate Chris Porzelt did back in May 2021.
The Bears return to action this afternoon when they will host Montclair State in non-conference action at 4 p.m.
