CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Hakan Atillasoy was named a first team Academic All-District honoree by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Thursday.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District men's and women's at-large teams recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the classroom and on the field of competition. Atillasoy was voted a first-team selection for District 4 (Pennsylvania) and advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America recipients will be announced in early August.

Recently named a Scholar All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA), Atillasoy is a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection for the second consecutive year and will bid to become the first Academic All-American in program history. The 2020 Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year graduated in May with a 3.90 cumulative GPA as an applied economics major.

Atillasoy was a first team All-CC performer and received honorable mention All-America from the USILA this spring, when he led the Bears with 13 assists and 27 points in six games. Recognized as the college's Outstanding Male Athlete, he earned his second Academic All-Centennial accolade and was chosen to participate in the USILA Division III Senior All-Star Game. He ranks fourth in program history in goals (107), fifth in points (157), and eighth in assists (50).
