Atillasoy Attains All-America Status

Division III All-America

Ursinus College senior Hakan Atillasoy capped his standout career with one final honor, receiving All-America honorable mention from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

Atillasoy, who will represent the Bears in the Division III Senior All-Star Game this afternoon, earned his second career All-America nod and first from the USILA after receiving fourth team Media All-America accolades from Inside Lacrosse and Maverik Media a year ago. A first team All-Centennial Conference selection, Atillasoy led the Bears in assists (13) and points (27) during the spring.

Atillasoy notched at least three points in every game this season. He had three goals and two assists in a win over Dickinson and netted four goals, including the game-tying tally in the waning seconds of regulation and the winner in double overtime, in a thrilling victory at Muhlenberg. He wrapped up his career with a five-assist effort at McDaniel.

The Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a COSIDA Academic All-District honoree in 2020, Atillasoy is a two-time Academic All-Centennial recipient. He leaves Ursinus with the program record for goals in a game with nine and ranks in the all-time top-10 in goals (107, 4th), points (157, 5th), and assists (50, 8th).

The Ursinus men's lacrosse program has produced an All-American every year but one since 2014.
