Atillasoy Attains Academic All-District Accolade

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Men's lacrosse rising senior Hakan Atillasoy was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team.

Atillasoy is one of 11 student-athletes from District 4 (PA) who were honored with first team Academic All-District recognition, and one of only two men's lacrosse players. Academic All-District selections advance to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced from June 16-19.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The At-Large Team takes into account schools that do not have their own dedicated team for a particular sport.

Atillasoy was named the Centennial Conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's lacrosse, awarded this spring to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA among former all-conference performers in each respective sport. He carries a robust 3.95 GPA as an economics major with a concentration in finance.

Atillasoy led the CC with 21 goals in the seven games before the season was canceled, ranking 14th in Division III in that category. An All-CC honorable mention recipient last season, Atillasoy received fourth team Media All-America Team laurels from Inside Lacrosse in April.
