Men's Lax Trio Earns Media All-America Honors

Maverik DIII Media All-Americans

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Three Ursinus College men's lacrosse players were named Maverik Division III Media All-Americans, it was announced Friday.

Junior attack Hakan Atillasoy and senior defenseman Parker Wolf were chosen to the fourth team, and senior attack Bobby McClure received honorable mention after leading the Bears to a perfect 7-0 record and the highest national ranking in school history (No. 6).

Atillasoy was the Centennial Conference's leading scorer when the season was suspended, pocketing 21 goals across seven prolific performances to tie for 14th in Division III in total markers. He produced four hat tricks, including a 6-goal, 3-assist outburst to equal the program record for points in a game in a win over Mary Washington. Atillasoy will enter his senior season with 93 career goals, already fifth on the team's all-time list.

Wolf was in the midst of a career year, tying freshman teammate Chase Rondeau for the conference lead with 12 caused turnovers – more than double his output from the last three seasons combined. He forced at least one turnover in every game, including a career-high four against Illinois Wesleyan, and Wolf registered 13 ground balls.

After receiving All-America honorable mention from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) a year ago, McClure took his place atop the program record books with 15 goals and a CC-best 19 assists in 2020, ranking ninth in the nation in total assists and 13th in total points. He notched at least five points in five of the Bears' seven contests, highlighted by a 3-goal, 6-assist effort against Mary Washington in which he joined Atillasoy in matching the single-game school mark of nine points. McClure finished his career with school records in goals (131) and points (205).
