LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ben Minardi's scoring surge earned him a spot on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week.

The Ursinus College senior was sensational as the Bears improved to 6-0 with wins over Montclair State and Illinois Wesleyan. He went off for six goals – including a school-record five in the third quarter – in an 18-11 victory at Montclair State on Wednesday. One of those goals, a tremendous individual effort in which he split a triple team before unleashing a behind-the-back shot from distance, was featured on Sportscenter's Top 10 plays.

Minardi came back with four more goals in Ursinus' 20-8 rout of Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday. The Trappe native is second on the team with 15 goals and has been a major factor in the Bears achieving their highest national ranking in team history at No. 6 this week.

Minardi is the second Bear to be named to the Team of the Week this season, joining classmate Bobby McClure.
