LANCASTER, Pa. – After setting up the game-winning goal in a scintillating season opener, Ursinus senior attack Bobby McClure was named the Centennial Conference men's lacrosse offensive player of the week.
McClure's pin-point pass led directly to Aaron Grill's game-winner with just 12.8 seconds remaining as the Bears kicked off the 2020 campaign with a 13-12 defeat of No. 20 Stevenson. It was one of a career-high five assists for McClure, who moved into second in program history with his 177th career point. He assisted on each of the team's final three goals, and four of his five helpers came on go-ahead markers.
McClure, who also scored a goal to move within five of the school record, is a CC weekly award winner for the third time in his career.
The men's lacrosse team plays host to Mary Washington on Saturday.
