Neff Named Preseason All-American

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Senior goalkeeper Brian Neff of the Ursinus College men's lacrosse team has been named a Division III Preseason All-American by Lacrosse Magazine.

Neff is coming off a sensational season in which he earned third-team All-America honors from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). A first-team All-Centennial Conference selection two years running, Neff led the league in goals against average (6.41), save percentage (.637), and saves (202) a year ago.

An honorable mention All-American in 2014, Neff was also selected as a USILA Scholar All-American this past year, honoring his success in the classroom.

With Neff anchoring the back line, Ursinus achieved its best season in school history in 2015. The Bears were 14-4 overall and 7-1 in conference play, reached the Centennial Conference championship, and notched their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory.

Ursinus, ranked No. 13 in three different preseason polls, opens the 2016 campaign on Saturday, February 20 against Albright.
