Last second goal dooms MLax in loss to York (Pa.), 10-9

YORK, Pa. – The 18th-ranked York College Spartans outscored Ursinus 4-1 in the final quarter, including the game-winner with just three seconds left in a 10-9 win for York (11-3) over Ursinus (6-4) on Sunday afternoon in men's lacrosse action.

Ursinus led 4-1 after one quarter and held a 6-3 lead at intermission.

The game-winning goal, from Josh Kluver, came after sophomore attack Logan Panaccione scored with just 27 seconds left unassisted to tie the score at 9-all.

For Ursinus, junior attack Mark Stratton scored two goals, while Panaccione, junior defender Cody Lefevre, freshman attack Tucker Noel, junior attack Mike Neal, junior midfielder Jake Weber, senior midfielder Dylan Spangenberg and sophomore Rob Dewey all had goals in the contest.

Junior attack Steve Smyrl and Spangenberg both had two assists on the day.

Senior midfielder Shawn Caven went 10-for-16 on faceoffs, while grabbing seven groundballs.

In goal, sophomore Brian Neff made ten saves.

Ursinus continues a big week, welcoming nationally-ranked Washington College to town on Wednesday, before heading to Gettysburg on Saturday.
