Men's Lacrosse falls short at Gettysburg, 12-9

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's lacrosse team fell behind to 18th-ranked Gettysburg 9-1, before fighting back within two with 3:36 left in the game. However, Gettysburg (7-3, 4-0 Centennial) held on for a 12-9 win over the Bears (5-6, 1-3 Centennial) Saturday afternoon.

For Ursinus, Jake Weber had three goals, with Dave Kraus going for two goals and one assist. Mark Stratton and Dylan Spangenberg each had a goal and an assist for Ursinus.

Trailing 11-4 with 9:29 left in the fourth, Ursinus scored five straight goals capped by an extra-man goal from Weber at 3:36 to cut the Gettysburg lead to 11-9.

Individually, Shawn Caven had seven ground balls and went 11-for-22 on faceoffs during the game. Wytch Rigger had two caused turnovers in the loss.

In goal, T.J. Magnani had 12 saves.
