Men's Lacrosse takes care of Messiah, 10-6

GRANTHAM, Pa. – Ursinus College senior midfielder Jeff Ocampo (Palm Coast, Fla./Mantanzas) scored four goal goals and added in an assist as Ursinus (2-0) tuned up for their showdown with top-ranked Salisbury on Wednesday with a 10-6 win over Messiah (1-2) Saturday afternoon in men's lacrosse play.

Ocampo scored four straight goals for Ursinus, bringing the Bears from down one (3-2) to up two at 6-4 with 9:33 left in the third quarter.

Freshman attack Mark Stratton (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) and sophomore midfielder Shawn Caven (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) each added two goals, while freshman midfielder Jake Weber (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) and freshman attack Mike Neal (Shelby Township, Mich./De La Salle) had two assists in the win.

Caven finished the day 13-for-20 on faceoffs, while grabbing a team-high nine ground balls.

Freshman defender Cody Lefevre (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) had two caused turnovers in the win, while junior goalkeeper T.J. Magnani (Bear, Del./St. Mark's) had 12 saves in the win.

Ursinus travels to Salisbury on Wednesday.
