GRANTHAM, Pa.
– Ursinus rolled out to a 9-0 first half lead as the Bears
(2-0) defeated Messiah (0-2) 11-1 on Saturday afternoon in
men’s lacrosse action.
The Bears scored seven times in the second period
en route to the win.
For Ursinus, senior attack Dan Monzo
(Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) had three goals and an
assist, while senior midfielder Eric Farris (Pottsgrove,
Pa./Pottsgrove) had two goals and two assists. Senior
attack Pat Nagle (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward
Melville), junior midfielder Pat Gillen (Merrick,
N.Y./Calhoun) and sophomore attack Jeff Ocampo
(Palm Coast, Fla./Mantanzas) also had two goals in the
win.
Freshman goalkeeper T.J. Magnani (Bear,
Del./Saint Mark’s) had six saves in the win.
Ursinus goes to Wesley on
Wednesday.
