ELVERSON, PA. - Jordan Pick registered his second individual win this season after finishing first in the Ursinus Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
Pick fired a 1-over 71 to lead the Bears to a fourth-place team finish; Ursinus landed on a team tally of 316, tying Dickinson and only trailing Swarthmore (308), Rosemont (311), and Moravian (313). The junior was steady throughout the afternoon, delivering an eagle, four birdies, and six pars in a field of 59 golfers.
The Bears had two teams consisting of ten players competing at the Stonewall Golf Course, a par-70 course that stretches over 6,312 yards.
The quintet of Pick, Evan Coffey, Kyle Hoke, John Murray, and Luke Godzieba finished in fourth place for their home spring invitational.
Meanwhile, Peyton Vostenak, Nick Troha, T.J. Stanton, Michael Nikolaou, and Mike Magargee combined for a total of 401 for an 11th-place finish.
Coffey opened his round on the par-5 3rd and after a bogey to start, he closed out the front nine just three over. The sophomore ended his round with eight pars on the afternoon and finished tied for 20th.
Teammate Kyle Hoke finished just behind, signing for an 81. His day was highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 1st hole. The sophomore also earned a birdie on the par-3 6th and finished his day with six pars.
Senior John Murray delivered seven pars on his round and finished tied for 33rd after arriving to the clubhouse with an 84.
Luke Godzieba rounded out the top-five with an 85. His day was highlighted with a birdie on the par-4 12th hole and closed out his round with five pars.
Vostenak led the Bears second team totaling an 86, meanwhile teammate Nick Troha finished just behind with an 89.
The Bears will return to action on Monday as they travel to the Muhlenberg Invitational.
