Pick Paces Men's Golf in Fall Debut

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's golf team opened its fall slate with a sixth-place finish Moravian's Weyhill Classic on Monday afternoon.

Jordan Pick led the way with an 83 at Saucon Valley Country Club, part of a balanced effort as the Bears registered a team tally of 347.

Gettysburg claimed the team title with a 302, with Alvernia five shots back in second. Moravian (319) was third, followed by Muhlenberg (325), Scranton (329), Delaware Valley (333), Ursinus, Lebanon Valley (357), and DeSales (363).

Pick made par on half of his holes, posting a 40 on the back-nine and only making worse than bogey on one hole.

Kyle Hoke carded an 87, which included seven pars. T.J. Stanton produced five pars and shot 44 on both ends of the course en route to an 88, and Billy Cardino was right behind with an 89. Cardino was out with a 42 on the front nine, highlighted by a birdie on the par-five 9th hole.

Luke Godzieba made big strides on the back nine, signing for a 45 and three pars as part of a 101 for the afternoon.

The Bears head to Rock Manor Golf Club on Sunday for the Swarthmore Invitational.
