Quattro Named CC Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior men's basketball player Zach Quattro has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week.

Quattro was on fire in two games for the Bears over the previous week, averaging 22.0 points and shooting a scorching 76.0 percent from the field (19 for 25).

Quattro scored a team-high 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting in a 77-69 loss to unbeaten Franklin & Marshall on Thursday, then came back to make 8 of 10 from the field for 19 points in an 83-77 overtime victory at McDaniel on Saturday. The forward buried a huge 3-pointer to stretch the Bears' lead to five with 35 seconds remaining in the extra session, helping the Bears post their first win in Westminster since 2010. Quattro averaged 6.0 rebounds per game and added three assists and a pair of blocks for the week.

One of the catalysts of a dynamic offense that leads the conference in 3-pointers made per game (10.3), 3-point percentage (47.0), and assists per game (20.3), Quattro has scored in double figures in all six games this season. He is shooting a robust 56.4 percent from the field and leads the team in making 56.0 percent from beyond the arc. Quattro is second on the squad in both scoring (17.8 PPG) and rebounding (6.8 RPG).

The Bears (4-2, 2-1) continue CC competition with a big test at No. 12 Swarthmore on Wednesday.
