Men's Basketball ends season with loss to Muhlenberg, 67-58

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Despite putting three players in double figures, Ursinus saw its eight game home winning streak come to end as Muhlenberg (7-11 CC, 12-13) defeated the Bears (7-11 CC, 10-15) 67-58 in the final regular season men's game for both teams.

The Bears got 14 points from sophomore Matt Knowles, and 11 points from junior guard Malik Draper. Freshman forward Joseph LoStracco added ten, with freshman forward Remi Janicot grabbing a game-high 17 rebounds on the night.

Muhlenberg was led by 16 points from sophomore guard Brandon LaRose, and 15 points from freshman guard Owen McLeod. Freshman guard Nick Rindock and sophomore guard Jon Schreer had 13 points each.

Ursinus rallied from 15 down at halftime, after shooting just 29.2 percent in the first half. However, the Bears could not take the lead, as they only tied the score at 42-all with 9:39 left in the game on a layup by Janicot.

Muhlenberg only made seven field goals in the second half, but, was 18-for-25 from the foul line and finished the game 23-for-32 from the charity stripe.

Ursinus did have a 49-26 lead on the glass, with a 17-6 edge offensively. The Bears, who finished 10-15 after starting the season 0-7, held Muhlenberg without a field goal over the last 2:46.
