Men's Basketball goes to the wire with Muhlenberg

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Muhlenberg got 20 points from Malique Killing, as the Mules (3-6 Centennial, 8-8) defeated Ursinus (5-11, 2-7 Centennial) 64-61 on Wednesday night in men's basketball action.

The Bears had a chance to send the game into overtime, but, junior guard Malik Draper's three pointer at the buzzer did not fall.

Both Draper and freshman Matthew Alden scored 13, a career-high for Alden. Freshman forward Remi Janicot scored 11 and grabbed ten rebounds in the loss.

Muhlenberg got 17 points from Nick Rindock and 12 points from Jon Schreer in the win.

Alden gave the Bears their last lead at 53-52 with 8:05 left in the game, before Muhlenberg went on a 7-0 run to take a 59-53 lead with 5:29 left. Janicot hit a three-pointer with 3:04 left in the game to get the Bears with three at 64-61, which turned out to be the last field goal either team would score in the game.

Janicot's ten rebounds helped the Bears to a 37-29 edge in rebounding.

Ursinus hosts McDaniel on Saturday.
