Men's Basketball stops skid with 30-point win over William Peace

ROANOKE, Va. – Paced by a game and career-high 34 points from senior forward Ryan Adams, Ursinus (2-8) snapped a six-game losing streak with a 90-60 win over William Peace on Friday afternoon at the 2014 Dick Leftwich V-Foundation Tournanment hosted by Roanoke College.

The Bears advance to play host Roanoke on Saturday, as the Maroons defeated Immaculata in the other half the bracket.

Adams connected on 11-of-15 of his shots and was a blazing 70 percent (7-for-10) from the three-point line on the day. He grabbed six rebounds for Ursinus.

The Bears also got ten points from freshman guard John Kanas and senior guard Pat Vasturia.

William Peace, from Hickory, N.C., got 16 points from Nate Strother.

Ursinus, who scored its highest point total of the year, made 53.3 percent of their shots and was 50 percent from the three-point line.

Holding a five-point lead at the half (44-39), the Bears pulled away by holding William Peace to 21 points in the second half
