Men's Basketball falls in season finale to Muhlenberg

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. –Muhlenberg freshman guard Malique Killing scored a game-high 27 points as the Mules (17-8, 11-7 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (9-16, 8-10 Centennial) 77-71 on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) led Ursinus with 14 points and guard Pat Vasturia (Medford, N.J./Bishop Eustace) added 13.

Vasturia knocked down a three pointer at the end of the first period to put the Bears up by five at the break.  The Mules came out fighting in the second half and chipped away at the Bears' lead, as an Austin Curry three pointer tied the game at 44-all with 17:51 remaining in the contest and a Killing lay-up put the Mules ahead two.  From that point on Muhlenberg never looked back.

Krasna had eight rebounds, while freshman forward Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland) grabbed seven, all off the defensive glass for Ursinus.

Ursinus honored guards JJ Rapczynski (Chadds Ford, Pa./Garnet Valley), and Lou Meindl (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) as well as forward Scott Niewiadomski (Brick, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) for their four years of service to the team.
