CHESTERTOWN, Md. – They saved the best for last.

Freshman guard Trey Harry (Baltimore, Md./The Hill School) hit a running three-pointer at the buzzer as Ursinus (9-15, 8-9 Centennial) eeked out a 77-75 win over Washington College (13-11, 9-8 Centennial) Wednesday night at the Cain Athletic Center.

However, Muhlenberg defeated Haverford early in the evening which knocked the Bears out of the playoff race.

Still, Ursinus probably played its best game of the season in one of the hardest gyms to play at in the conference.

Harry hit the three-pointer after Washington's Kevin Cunningham missed the second of two foul shots with five seconds left. A rebound by junior forward Kevin Janowski (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) got the ball to Harry who hit the three-pointer.

Ursinus put five players in double figures with junior guard Matt Donahue (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) paced the Bears with a team-high 17 points off the bench, while Janowski finished with 14.

Freshman point guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) had 13 points with Harry and junior forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) each tipping in with ten.

For Washington, Kevin Breslin had a game-high 20 points, with Tony Hawkins adding in 17.

Ursinus finished the game shooting 51.1 percent from the field (23-for-45), while going 25-for-35 from the foul line (71.4 percent).

Ursinus led at the half and had an eight-point lead with 10:31 to go. Ursinus had that lead at the half, despite the fact that Ward and freshman forward Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland) sitting most of the first half with three fouls.

Ursinus trailed by four with just over three minutes to go, but, got back into it on back-to-back three pointers by Donahue.

Ursinus held Washington without a field goal over the final 3:40 of the game.

The Bears host Muhlenberg on Saturday in the season finale.
