Battling The Green Terror

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's basketball team earned a hard fought 63-51 win over McDaniel College on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, Ursinus improved to 4-4 in conference play and avenged an earlier loss to the Green Terror (4-10, 1-6 Centennial).

For Ursinus (5-10 overall), junior forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) had 19 points going 13-for-15 from the foul line, while freshman forward Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland) continues to improve game-to-game as he scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Sophomore point guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) had 11 points as the Bears went 28-for-40 from the foul line.

McDaniel got 16 points from Louis Sarris-Grau in the loss, going 1-for-15 from the three-point line.

Leading by one at halftime, Ursinus kept the lead through out the second half and up by as much as 12 points.

The two teams combined for 56 personal fouls and 68 foul shots attempts.

Ursinus heads to Muhlenberg Wednesday.
