LANCASTER, Pa. – Nationally-ranked Franklin & Marshall put four players in double figures as the 14th-ranked Diplomats (6-0, 2-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (1-6, 0-2 Centennial) 70-52 Wednesday night in men's basketball action.
The Bears trailed by 12 at intermission (27-15) and saw the Diplomats shoot 56 percent from the field (28-for-50) in the game.
Ursinus was led again by junior forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) who scored 19 points on 6-for-10 shooting. Sophomore guard Pat Vasturia (Medford, N.J./Delone Catholic) and sophomore guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) each scored eight points.
Junior guard Matt Donahue (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) had seven points off of the bench.
Ursinus also got a team-high six rebounds from freshman forward Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland).
The Bears host Swarthmore on Saturday, ending a seven-game road trip to start the season.
