DeLorme Qualifies for NCGA Championship Meet in the All-Around

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After completing their final regular season meet, Ursinus Gymnastics junior Alyssa DeLorme locked up her qualification to nationals.

 

DeLorme qualified for the NCGA championship in the All-Around after finishing second overall in the NCGA East Region. Spots can be locked up to the NCGA championship meet in the regular season for gymnasts that finish top-two in the region for Season Average Score (SAS) for the All-Around and top-five for each event.

 

DeLorme holds a SAS of 37.8375 to rank only behind Rhode Island College's Olivia Keyes in the east region and ranks fourth in the entire NCGA. She also ranks fourth in the east region and ninth nationally on bars with a SAS of 9.6563.  DeLorme also had locked up a spot at nationals for the bars if she had not qualified for the all-around. She holds SAS's of 9.5063 for the floor exercise, 9.4438 on the vault, and 9.3250 on the beam.

 

DeLorme has had a breakout season for Ursinus which was highlighted by setting a new school record on the bars with a 9.8 against West Chester back on February 27th. She has won a pair of NCGA East Region All-Around Gymnast of the week honors this season as well.

 

She will be making her first appearance at the championship meet. The Bears have a chance to qualify as a team at nationals if they finish top-three at the regional meet this Saturday, March 12th at Springfield. Ursinus is seeded fifth headed into Regionals after recording a SAS of 183.6063.
