ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ursinus College women's gymnastics team capped their 2014 season by having four of its gymnasts competing in the individual events at the NCGA Championship earn All-American honors on Saturday.
Senior Monica Durham earned first-team honors by placing fourth on the vault, while junior Kristin Aichele, freshman Lauren Chavis and freshman Vanessa Scalora were named second-team by placing in the top 12 in their respective events.
Durham, who was named a NCGA Scholar All-American earlier in the day, finished fourth in the vaulting competition with a score of 9.7000. Aichele tied for seventh in the event with a score of 9.6500.
On the beam, Chavis finished 11th with a score of 9.1500, while Scalora just missed All-American honors on the beam with a score of 8.4000.
Scalora would pick up her All-American honors with a score of 9.4250 on the bars later in the competition.
