COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College gymnastics team placed third in a tri-meet Sunday that saw the Bears host Brockport College and Towson University with 184.750 points.  Towson finished first with a total score of 192.650, while Brockport finished second with 187.875 total points. 

Leading the Bears on vault was sophomore Monica Durham (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville High School) who scored a 9.675.  Following suit were freshman Kristen Aichele (Upper Black Eddy, Pa./Palisades High School) with a 9.6, Riley Acton (Acton, MA./Acton/Boxborough Regional High) with a 9.45, junior Stephanie Schmidt (Bloomingdale, N.J./Butler) with a 9.3.  Rounding out the scoring was junior Johanna Warren (Shakopee, MN./Hopkins) with a 9.075 and junior Katlyn Lawver (Newmanstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon Co.) with an 8.4. 

Leading Ursinus on Bars were Warren and Durham, both netting scores of 9.65.  Junior Erica Schnebel (Pittsburg, Pa./North Hills) followed suit with a 9.15, and Acton scored a 9.125.  Rounding out the scoring was Lawver, who scored an 8.85 and freshman Jamie Hammell (West Milford, N.J./West Milford High) who scored an 8.75.

Ursinus was lead on the Beam by sophomore Megan Bolash (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks High School South), who scored a 9.476.  Following suit was senior Danielle Michielli (Claymont, De./Concord) with a 9.025 and senior Katherine Gelinne (Westfield, N.J./Mount Saint Mary's) with a 9.0.  Aichele netted an 8.8, Warren who netted an 8.6 and Durham with an 8.575.

In the floor exercise, the Bears were lead by Schmidt, who netted a 9.475.  Following suit was Michielli with a 9.45, senior Andrea DeToro (Howell, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) with a 9.25, and Warren with a 9.175.  Rounding out the scoring with matching 9.0s were Durham and freshman Adelaide Hurlbert (Inman, SC./Spartanburg Day School).
