COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – In their final home meet of the season, the Ursinus College women's gymnastics team slipped by West Chester 183.050 to 182.225. The Bears trailed by one heading into the final rotation and pulled off a 46.075 on the floor to win the meet.

Ursinus captured the championship in three of the four events on the day, with freshman Monica Durham (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) winning the vault at 9.475, junior Katherine Gelinne (Westfield, N.J./Mount Saint Mary's) taking first on the balance beam at 9.525 and senior Erin Slaunwhite (Halifax, Nova Scotia) captured the floor exercise at 9.450.

In the all-around competition, sophomore Johanna Warren (Shakkope, Minn./Hopkins) had a score of 36.725 in second place.

Starting off the day on the vault, Slaunwhite was third overall and second on the team at 9.400, followed by junior Elle Kurz (Hewlett, N.Y./Hewlett) in fourth overall at 9.375. Warren was third best on the team and fifth overall at 9.325. Sophomore Stephanie Schmidt (Bloomingdale, N.J./Butler) scored a 9.225 for the Bears.

Sophomore Erica Schnebel (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) was third overall on the bars, with a team-best 9.200. Senior Jacki Clymer (Holicong, Pa./Central Bucks East) was second on the team at 9.050, followed by Warren at 8.950. Sophomore Katlyn Lawver (Newmanstown, Pa./ELCO) was fifth on the team at 8.600.

Slaunwhite took second on the beam with a score of 9.350, followed by junior Danielle Michielli (Claymont, Del./Concord) in third at 9.225. Warren took sixth overall at 9.100 with senior Brittany Ang (Ocean City, N.J./Ocean City) scoring an 8.925.

On the floor, Warren was third overall at 9.350, followed by Michielli at 9.175, Durham at 9.100 and Gelinne at 9.000.
